Nashville, TN (January 5, 2017) - peermusic has signed an exclusive publishing agreement with artist and songwriter Jennifer Hanson, as announced today by Michael Knox, Vice President of Nashville, peermusic. Already an accomplished songwriter and artist, with two #1 singles and a title track to a major motion picture under her belt, Hanson has landed major cuts by country music elite and penned the debut tracks for up and coming artists.

“Jennifer Hanson is hands down one of my favorite songwriters in town,” said Knox. “When Kim Wiggins brought her to me and said she was looking for a deal, it was that missing piece we had been looking for.”

“I’m beyond thrilled to be signing with peermusic. The enthusiasm and support that Michael Knox, Kim Wiggins and the rest of the peermusic team have shown me has been incredible and I look forward to a productive and successful partnership,” said Hanson.

Jennifer Hanson came on the scene in 2003 with her self-titled debut album. Her single “Beautiful Goodbye” went on to be a top 15 hit, the highest charting debut single by a new female artist for that year. Hanson wrote the #1 song “Leave the Pieces”, the debut single for Michelle Branch & Jessica Harp of The Wreckers, as well as the debut single for American Idol finalist Bucky Covington titled “A Different World.” Hanson celebrated her second #1 single with her self-penned song “Let Me Down Easy” recorded by Billy Currington. Hanson also wrote the title track to the movie “Country Strong” performed by Gwyneth Paltrow and has had songs recorded by artists such as pop sensation Kelly Clarkson, The CW’s One Tree Hill actress and singer Jana Kramer, country legends Pam Tillis, Vince Gill and Don Williams, and rising county stars such as Mickey Guyton and Brooke Eden to name a few.

Under the creative purview of Michael Knox, peermusic Nashville has built itself into one of Nashville’s top independent publishing companies. In 2013 they enjoyed the ASCAP Song of the Year “How Country Feels” (Randy Houser) and in 2016 SESAC honored peermusic with Country Song of the Year “Somewhere On A Beach” (Dierks Bentley).
