peermusic Signs The Royal Foundry to Exclusive Global Deal

Burbank, CA (January 19, 2017) - peermusic has signed an exclusive global deal with up-and-coming Canadian group The Royal Foundry, as announced today by Craig Currier, VP/Senior Creative Director, peermusic North America. Through the deal, peermusic will publish The Royal Foundry’s music worldwide as well as provide global master representation.

“We’re thrilled to have two songwriters as talented as Jared and Bethany become a part peermusic. The response to The Royal Foundry and what they’ve been able to achieve while doing it all themselves is remarkable, so I’m very excited to see what we can do together,” said Craig Currier.

The Royal Foundry is comprised of Jared and Bethany Salte, and the duo composes and records all of their music themselves. The band was established in 2013, and they quickly found a following - a video featuring their single “Waiting” went viral and has been viewed over 8 million times, and their single “Running Away” hit No. 21 on the Alt-Rock Canada chart despite no label promotion or support.

In addition to their strong fan following, The Royal Foundry’s music has also proven popular with music supervisors. Their songs have been featured in multiple prominent synchs, including a spot for Purina, the ABC television show Rookie Blue, and a spot for the Canadian Football League (CFL) on The Sports Network (TSN).

The group released their most recent single “Dreamers” a few months ago, and its lyric video has already totaled well over 100,000 views without any formal promotion. The band recently wrapped up a series of tour dates across Canada, Germany and Poland and is currently in the studio working on their debut album, which is expected to be released in the first half of the year.
