MIAMI (April 18, 2017) – Prince Royce once again takes the throne, climbing to #1 on Billboard “Tropical Songs” with his latest single “Deja Vu” with Shakira, his 15th career chart-topper on this countdown. This single ranks him at number three amongst artists that have earned the most Billboard Tropical Songs number one’s in the history of the chart and earns him a new record as the fastest artist to achieve this milestone.
The first three singles from this singer and songwriter’s most recent album FIVE, “Culpa al Corazón” (Blame the Heart), “La Carretera” (The Highway) and “Moneda” (Coin) ft. Gerardo Ortíz, also reached #1 on the “Tropical Songs” chart, which ranks singles by total weekly radio audience in the United States and Puerto Rico. The first two singles also reached #1 on the overall “Latin Airplay” ranking.
On VEVO/YouTube, the official music video of “Deja Vu” has accumulated over 60 millon views just weeks after its release. Directed by Jaume de Laiguana, the video highlights the sensual rhythm of bachata in a story where the music brings back memories that end up bringing together the characters played by the artists. Shortly after its premiere, it trended worldwide and reached #1 on the YouTube charts in a plethora of countries, including the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Spain, Paraguay, Guatemala, Panama and Slovenia. “Deja Vu” is the fourth single from Prince Royce’s album FIVE, which reached #1 on both Billboard’s “Top Latin Albums” and the US Latin digital sales chart with the highest first-week sales of any Latin album in the past two years. FIVE remains a strong seller and is still near the top of the sales charts in the United States and Puerto Rico.

All of the Deluxe Edition CDs come with a black tattoo. However, five CDs have been shipped with a golden tattoo. This entitles each winner and a guest to a date with Prince Royce. One fan in Chicago already found one of the tattoo’s and went on her date with the artist. Four remain in the United States and Puerto Rico.
As its title indicates, FIVE is the fifth album by Prince Royce, and his fourth in the Dominican bachata genre. Its Deluxe Edition features 18 new songs, all written or co-written by Royce himself. He produced the album with D’Lesly “Dice” Lora, who has worked with him on all his bachata albums. FIVE includes duets with such greats as Shakira, Zendaya, Chris Brown, SpiffTV, Farruko, Gente de Zona, Gerardo Ortíz and Arturo Sandoval.
