Los Angeles, CA -- Rising-stars Sam F and TastyTreat catch a vibe on the free-spirited “Wavy,” featuring Sophie Rose. Propelled by velvety pop cadences and future bass beats, the single beams feel-good vibes.
Originally hailing from the Bay Area, Sam F is one of the brightest young talents in electronic dance music. After producing The Lonely Island’s viral SNL track “When Will The Bass Drop (feat. Lil Jon),” his career took off. This year, Sam F released his Dim Mak debut EP Electric Soul, featuring his biggest single to date “Limitless (feat. Sophie Rose).” Following placement in a national Samsung Galaxy S8 advertisement and rotation on SiriusXM and iHeartRadio, “Limitless” broke the Top 40 on Billboard’s Dance / Mix Show Airplay Chart and has since racked up an impressive 5M+ on demand streams. Additionally, Sam F’s collaboration with Yntendo titled “All We Got (feat. Lizzy Land)” made noise this year, landing syncs in MTV’s new summer program “Siesta Key” and a MVMT Watches global ad campaign.
Comprised of John Smith and Devin Hardy, TastyTreat formed after the two Cal Poly San Luis Obispo students bonded with one another over their shared dedication for hip hop and electronic music. The result is a genre-bending style of their own that has lead to releases on Ultra, Buygore, 88rising, and Majestic Casual, as well as appearances on BBC Radio 1, Power106 and SiriusXM. Their latest single “Summer (Don’t Go)” featuring Wasiu reached #2 on Hype Machine and has over half a million plays on Trap Nation. With numerous releases this year and even more in the queue, there is no slowing down for TastyTreat.
At just 17 years old, Canadian singer-songwriter Sophie Rose has solidified her name as one to watch in the music industry. Additionally, a track that Sophie co-wrote, titled “Aces High,” was featured on FOX’s hit drama Empire in December 2016.
