Emeli Sandé release new track and video for "You Are Not Alone"

Multi-platinum, award-winning recording artist Emeli Sandé MBE releases new song "You Are Not Alone" [co-written by James Poyser and Salaam Remi] taken from her stunning upcoming new album Real Life, out September 13th.

Embodying all the hallmarks of what made Emeli Sandé a musical icon, You Are Not Alone is an empowering and emotive gospel track that lights a spark under anyone who hears it. Opening with an organ, the song builds to a fervent chorus as Emeli reassures world-weary listeners with her soaring vocals that, whatever they’re facing, there’s light at the end of the tunnel.

Joining Emeli on the track and its accompanying black and white music video, which was directed by Charlie Robins is the House Gospel Choir(Alex Metric, Toddla T, Nicky Brown, The Black Madonna). Known for their electric combination of house music and gospel, House Gospel Choir comprises of over 150 individuals from all backgrounds and help Emeli share her message of unity and togetherness with their awe-inspiring harmonies. The video also celebrates her friends and family, many of whom feature alongside her.

Emeli wrote You Are Not Alone with Salaam Remi (NAS, Amy Winehouse) and James Poyser (Mariah Carey, Jon Legend, Lauryn Hill). The track is emblematic of the rest of Real Life. Speaking about the record, Emeli said: “With this album, I knew exactly what I wanted to say and do. I’ve came out the other side more confident, happier with more self-love. I needed to learn I am beautiful. Only now I’m beginning to accept the feminine energy.”

This autumn, Emeli will kick off her extensive ‘The Real Life Tour’, which opens at The Regent Theatre in Stoke-On-Trent on 15 November 2019.
