The Weeks have released their new LP Twisted Rivers via Crooked Letter Records.

The release of the album follows the re-release of their original albums Comeback Cadillac and Gutter Gaunt Gangster and leading three singles “This Dance”, “Bobbie,” and “Slips.”

Sam Williams, guitarist in the band, states about the album, “‘Twisted Rivers’ is an album about the interconnectivity between every person. We all have our own triumphs & failures, curiosities & fears, but they all intertwine with the stories of those who walk next to us. Throughout 2020 we’ve all come even more face to face with our connection to the rest of the world. More than ever, our neighbors’ troubles and successes are our own. With this album, it’s a theme that permeates even down to the songs themselves. These songs were recorded for the most part separate from each other with their own unique purpose and frame of mind, but when we compiled them into one unit they slid next to each other seamlessly and told one singular story. We’re at a time in history when empathy is paramount. Our rivers may be twisted, but they all have the same source and they all flow the same direction.”

The band also kicked off a new livestream series this summer “Crooked Letter Underground” streaming on FacebookYoutube, and Twitch. The livestream series has reached over 128,000 fans online with 50,000+ views and 25,000+ social engagements. Each week the band has raised money to make a new album as well as donate to charities such as Nashville Cares, Save our Stages, Gideon’s Army, House of GG, the Nashville Community Bail Fund, and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. They have also given away to fans a personal encore each week for those who donate along with bonuses including tambourine credits on the upcoming album, signed setlists, and choosing random donors to gift their full vinyl collection too. Past livestreams can be found here.

Raucous, Mississippi rock combo The Weeks got their start in 2006 while all four members were still in high school. Staffed by twin brothers Cyle (lead vocals) and Cain Barnes (drums), Samuel Williams (guitar, vocals), and Damien Bone (bass) they released their debut album in 2008. Their swaggering, sludgy, and slightly southern indie rock was further expanded with the release of six total albums including five studio albums and one live project.

Twisted Rivers is now available on music streaming platforms.
