South London sibling duo PUNCHBAG (Clara and Anders Bach) have released their new EP "I Am Obsessed" out now via Mute, marking a bold next chapter for one of the UK’s most exciting emerging acts.

Building on the momentum of their debut EP, the new project expands the duo’s self-described “aggressive hopecore” sound—blending distortion-heavy alt-pop, driving percussion, and soaring synths with Clara’s distinctive vocal delivery. The EP’s focus track, “Playing God,” has become a standout in their live sets, evolving into a cathartic and socially charged anthem.

Across five tracks (“I Am Obsessed,” “I Love This!,” “Pile Of Clothes,” “Playing God,” and “What’s In My Bag”) the duo push their sound further into a heightened, hyper-saturated world, exploring themes of obsession, anxiety, and the intensity of everyday life. Early tastemaker support from outlets including NME, DIY, CLASH, and Stereogum has highlighted the band’s “cathartic rave-pop” and “gloriously untamed” energy, reinforcing their growing profile.

Following the release, PUNCHBAG will embark on their debut UK and European headline tour this spring, kicking off April 13 in Paris and concluding May 9 at The Lexington in London. The run includes festival appearances and headline dates across France, Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK, as the duo continue to build their reputation for electrifying live performances.

With "I Am Obsessed," PUNCHBAG continue to sharpen their identity and push creative boundaries, positioning themselves as a compelling new voice in the global alt-pop landscape.
