Canadian indie collective Broken Social Scene have released their long-awaited new album Remember The Humans via Arts & Crafts, marking the band’s first studio album in nearly a decade and reuniting them with acclaimed producer David Newfeld. Early reviews for the album have been overwhelmingly positive, with Exclaim! calling the record “a youthful spark” that feels “more about ol’ fashioned songwriting and less about post-rock abstraction,” while Under the Radar praised it as “one of their best,” noting that “the communal mentality pervades the dozen tracks.” FLOOD Magazine described the album as “a brand new yet wholly familiar artful rock sound with a surprising amount of momentum behind it,” underscoring the enduring chemistry of the collective.
The album arrives alongside the announcement of the band’s major North American All The Feelings Tour with Metric and Stars, culminating in a hometown performance in Toronto on August 7.
