Sylvan Esso Release New Single "Hot Slob," Announce 2026-2027 North American Tour

Sylvan Esso have released "Hot Slob," their first new single of 2026, out now on their independent label Psychic Hotline. Recorded at Betty's, their studio in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, the track features Amelia Meath on vocals and Nick Sanborn on bass, guitar, drums, and vocals, alongside collaborators TJ Maiani (Weyes Blood, Neneh Cherry) and Jenn Wasner (Flock of Dimes, Bon Iver). The single marks a more direct and pointed direction for the duo, reflecting their recent transition to complete creative independence through Psychic Hotline. 

Sylvan Esso have also announced a full-band North American tour spanning more than two dozen dates in 2026 and 2027, with stops at venues including Brooklyn Paramount, Chicago's Salt Shed, and Los Angeles' Wiltern. The band will debut their expanded live setup during a sold-out week-long residency at Los Angeles' Sid the Cat Auditorium (June 15-20). Additionally, Sylvan Esso and Psychic Hotline will present the Good Moon festival in Durham, NC (October 8-10), featuring Tyler Childers, Meshell Ndegeocello, and artists including MJ Lenderman and Rodrigo Amarante.
