MusicCube (Korea) And Peermusic Announce Strategic Relationship

Seoul, South Korea. Monica Shin, CEO of MusicCube, Inc., and Ralph Peer, II, chair and CEO of peermusic, have jointly announced a new strategic relationship between the two firms. peermusic has agreed to acquire a minority interest in the Korean firm and to represent MusicCube’s publishing for the world outside of Korea and Japan, where Cube has their own operations, and China and Thailand where Cube is represented by Shake Music and GMM respectively. MusicCube will represent peermusic’s extensive publishing repertoire in South Korea. MusicCube is Korea’s top independent music publisher and a major player in the burgeoning field of K-Pop. Cube has been responsible for the success of such chart topping acts as 4Minute, Beast and G-Na.

peermusic, the established global independent publisher, represents such current chart hits as Katy Perry’s ‘Firework’ and Rihanna’s ‘What’s My Name?’, as well as tracks performed by Susan Boyle, Eric Clapton and Michael Bublé. peermusic publishes over 250,000 titles in genres ranging from pop, rock ‘n’ roll and R&B to Latin, concert and soul.
