
Born in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Alfredo Ríos better known as El Komander, he is also often referred to as the "Chief of the Altered Corrido". Ever since he was a small child Alfredo Ríos was a lover of music and formally studied composition, singing and guitar. He often says he's proud of his music education and for not being what some may consider an undisciplined musician. El Komander began his career writing corridos that were recorded by many other artists that included “El Chapo de Sinaloa” and “Chuy Lizarraga” among many others.
El Komander is one of the most cherished promoters and influencers of the Mexican regional genre of corridos. Just a few years after commencing his career he was able to successfully give his audiences a lasting taste of what was yet to come. Starting in 2008 with his debut album "El Katch" that garnered top placements on the charts in both Mexico and the United States.
From there he kept up a successful streak and the releases his next album titled, “Live From Badiraguato”, where it served to consolidate his career. He then released “The Executor”, which served as the inspiration to his movie acting debut in the film of the same name.
The second single he released from “El Katch” was "The Lord Of The Hummers". In October of that year, he was nominated in two different categories for the 2009 Radio Awards, the nominations in the “Best New Artist” and “Most Handsome” category.
In 2010 Komander records a “live” album titled “En Vivo Desde Badiraguato”, which includes the song "El Tamarindo" (a duet with Los Buitres), "Nomas Por Ser Sinaloense", and "El Katch".
In 2010, he also releases the album "Private Archive" and one of the singles that was heavily promoted was "Mafia Nueva" which received extensive airplay throughout the United States along with it’s accompanying video which was also recorded and viewed on many different TV channels/outlets.
In 2011 Komander recorded the album "And We Continue The Borrachera (drunkenness)" which featured the tracks: "La Manda Failed", "Drunk And Scandalous" and "Party At The Beach" - all written by Alfredo Rios himself. Each track had an accompanying music video.
El Komander then launches the album "Bélico" in 2012, which broke records of both downloads and visits on of visits to his social media. The first single "La Vuelta Cargada" was positioned immediately sitting on top of the popularity charts.
During the same year he hit the road for his "Belico" tour and performing at major venues throughout Mexico and the United States. Filled to capacity at the arenas he played, in particular “The Palenque Equestrian Fair” in Texcoco - State of Mexico, where performed for the first time with resounding success.
In October of 2012 El Komander is nominated for a radio award in the category of “Best Corrido” of the year for the song "El Cigarrito Bañado".
The single "Abusamos Del Alcohol" is also released in 2012 and remains in the top spots on radio and on video TV channels such as Video Rola and Bandamax. Subsequently in 2013 “El Komander” begins recording his new album titled Cazador.
In 2014, he releases and promotes his new singles "Soy De Rancho" and "Descansa Mi Amor" on radio stations throughout Mexico and the United States, in addition to promoting the video of "Soy El Mismo" which gets released in February of the same year.
The “Cazador Tour” begins with shows that also included and featured him on horseback in cities such as Morelia and Querétaro, which were followed by overwhelming success. In California, he is warmly received by his fans as he also includes the equestrian feature of his show to standing room only shows.
In 2015, he broke attendance records for shows in both the United States and Mexico and records duets with artists like Caliber 50 and Larry Hernandez to great success.
On July 7, 2015 launches his album “Detrás Del Miedo” produced by the brothers Adolfo and Omar Valenzuela which also include the song “Malditas Ganas”, which became one of the most requested songs of the year and remaining in the TOP 10 for more than 20 weeks in the United States and Mexico.
That same year "Me Interesa" and "El Papel Cambió" also became successful songs on the radio and major video channels. Because of that success this album opened new doors for “El Komader” in the Latin American market, where he was consequently well received.
