
Luis Enrique is a living legend, without a doubt, the most outstanding Nicaraguan singer
and songwriter of all times.
Multi-Winner and Multi-Nominee of Latin GRAMMYs and GRAMMYs, among many other
accolades, Luis Enrique is one of the most respected artists in the latin entertainment
industry. Better known as "The Prince of Salsa", this versatile musician is also
considered one of the best percussionists in Latin music.
He has collaborated with countless artists, including Gloria Estefan, Ricky Martin,
Chayanne, Arturo Sandoval and Collective Soul, among many others.
After becoming the most revolutionary figure in salsa in the 80's and 90's and with
numerous productions to his credit, Luis Enrique released the award-winning albums
"Ciclos" (2009), "Soy Y Seré" (2011), achieving impressive and immediate success not
only in the US, but in Latin America, Europe and the Caribbean. The song "Yo No Sé
Mañana" leads this musical project and positioned Luis Enrique in a place of global
preference.
His live performances have reached many corners and with resounding success in
Europe, the US, Central America, South America and Mexico.
Luis Enrique has also become a powerful figure in the fight for immigrant rights. And his
message led him to address President Barack Obama and express his thoughts and
concerns regarding immigration issues in the US.
The Nicaraguan singer participated on Broadway in the play Forever Tango where he
was a special artist guest. He also received recognition for his invaluable contribution to
the salsa genre (La Salsa Star Walk of Fame 2015).
He has participated as a coach of "La Voz Perú" along with other greats of Latin
American music such as Gian Marco, Eva Ayllon and Alex Lora.
He has been honored by the Association of Composers, Authors and Publishers
(ASCAP), with the "Voice Of Music Award", an award given to artists and composers
who have given their voice to the spirit of a generation.
In 2017 he released his book “Autobiography”, in which he shared important and
shocking moments in his life that he had never talked about before.
After his musical project, Tiempo Al Tiempo, with C4TRIO, which brought him a Latin
GRAMMY statuette and a GRAMMY nomination, Luis Enrique continues writing and has presented us new singer-songwriter material in 2022. It being yet another musical
jewel that he has shared with his audience and demonstrated his continuous ability to surpass himself as an artist in each project.
