Pierre Marchand

Pierre Marchand grew up in Montreal, and quickly developed a reputation in the Canadian music scene as an excellent musician and engineer. Getting his start playing keyboards or bass on albums by such artists as Daniel Lanois, the Neville Brothers and The Tragically Hip, he then began engineering records before moving on to produce artists on his own.

Marchand is best known for the albums he produced for Sarah McLachlan. In addition to producing, engineering and mixing her 4x platinum album, "Afterglow," he co-wrote standouts like  "World On Fire" and "Perfect Girl," and several key tracks for her hit album, "Surfacing", which has been certified 7x platinum, and the title track for her album, "Fumbling Towards Ecstasy", which has been certified 3x platinum
