
Vanito Brown was born in Cuba in 1967. By the ends of the 80s and early 90s he grouped into the "Peña de 13 y 8" most of the latermembers of Habana Oculta (1995), then Habana Abierta since 1996 in Madrid, Spain.
In Vanito's songs a wide range of influences coexist and resonate with each other in aparticularly organic fusion. "Divino Guión", "Ahora Sí Tengo La Llave", "Lo Bueno No SaleBarato", "Corazón Boomerang" or "La Habana A Todo Color" make up the Habana Abierta’sphonographic repertoire.
In 2015 his solo debut album NORTE SUR ESTE y AQUEL (Bis Music 2014) was singled outby Billboards Latino as one of the most influential Latin American pop that same year.
