
Cynthia Bagué is a singer-songwriter, composer, and television personality born in Mexico and based in the United States. With over 30 years of experience, she achieved international recognition with her band KerreKe through the album Joropango, which was awarded the Latin Grammy for Best Folk Album.
As the lead vocalist, songwriter, and co-founder of KerreKe, Cynthia has been part of an
innovative movement within contemporary Latin folk, blending traditional genres such as
joropo, Mexican sones and huapango, and Latin American rhythms with a modern aesthetic.
Driven by a constant need to tell stories through music, her creative approach is rooted in the balance between the ancestral and the contemporary, bringing a strong female voice to the evolution of Latin sound.
Throughout her career, Cynthia has participated in projects and collaborations with
internationally recognized artists within the Latin music scene, such as contemporary tropical music icon Jorge Luis Chacín, merengue star Melina León, Mexican pop artist Myriam Montemayor, salsa legend Domingo Quiñones, and regional Mexican artist Víctor García, among others.
