As one of Latin music's most eclectic talents, SESAC Latina affiliate and 2016 Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee Alejandro Jaén has written hits for artists in such genres as pop-ballad, Regional Mexican and tropical.
His latest achievement is “Moneda” (Coin), a seductive bachata performed by the superstars Prince Royce and Gerardo Ortíz. This single has spent three weeks at #1 on Billboard's Tropical Songs chart.
Paying tribute to his accomplishment, SESAC Latina last week presented Jaén, a native of Spain, with a beautiful commemorative plaque during the Billboard Latin Music Conference in Miami.
Also receiving this plaque was this song's publishing company, Peermusic, which was represented at the presentation by Yvonne Drazan, Vice President of the Latin Division, West Coast; and Julio Bagué, Vice President of the Latin Division, East Coast and Puerto Rico.
