Los Angeles, CA. (May 15, 2019). Mexican singer-songwriter, musician and producer Georgel, announced his upcoming musical participation at the LA Pride Parade and Festival, one of the biggest Gay pride festivals in the world, which takes place annually in Los Angeles, CA.
His performance, to take place on Saturday, June 8 in the city of West Hollywood, will be one of few Latino appearances at an event that captivates the attention of global media and that brings together nearly 200,000 people, as part of the celebration filled with color and a message of unity. It’s precisely that unity that’s the motto of this year’s event with the official hashtag being #justunite.
Georgel, who will present to the world his new image, sound, and live show; will share the stage with renowned artists such as Paula Abdul, Meghan Trainor, the trio Years & Years, and Ashanti, in a concert where attendees will be able to listen to his hit singles “Meteorito” and “Colibrí”, as well as some songs from his upcoming album to be released later this year.
Also, this week the talented and versatile artist traveled to his native Mexico to finalize details for his album with renowned producer Juan Pablo Vega (Monsieur Periné, Manuel Medrano, Esteman, Paula Arenas). During his visit to Mexico City, the singer is also promoting his music extensively across all local media to celebrate that “Colibrí” continues to rise on many radio charts around the country.
Georgel has become a trailblazer in the fight for the rights of the gay community in the Latin music industry, after creating the awareness campaign #loveisone. The hashtag emerged from the song “Meteorito”, his anthem championing love without barriers, which became the first single in this new creative stage in the talented artist’s career.
