
peermusic has signed artist, songwriter and producer Alex Anwandter to an exclusive, worldwide co-publishing deal, as announced today by Kathy Spanberger, President & Chief Operating Officer, peermusic Anglo American Region and Yvonne Drazan, Vice President, Latin Division, West Coast, peermusic. The deal with peermusic marks the first music publishing deal for the critically acclaimed LGBTQ+ Latin Pop artist and encompasses his entire catalog as well as future works.
Alex today also announced his new album El diablo en el cuerpo will be released on May 26th, 2023. The album features his new single “Que piensas hacer sin mi amor?" out now, and recent single “Maricoteca.”

Native to Santiago, Chile, Alex rose to fame in Latin America as the vocalist for the band Teleradio Donoso. In 2010, Alex embarked on his solo career and won a Festival del Videoclip de Chile Award for Best Music Video for “Cabros” (Odisea). Alex’s continued success earned him two Latin GRAMMY nominations for Best New Artist and Best Short Form Music Video for “Siempre Es Viernes En Mi Corazón.” Most recently, Alex wrote and produced the upcoming solo album for Juliana Gattas that is set to release in Summer 2023.
The deal with peermusic includes Alex’s solo albums Rebeldes (2011), Amiga (2016), Latinoamericana (2018) and Odisea (2010); along with all three Teleradio Donoso albums Teleradio Donoso EP (2005), Gran Santiago (2007), and Bailar y llorar (2008); as well as his collaboration album Alex & Daniel (2013) with Chilean singer-songwriter Gepe.
In addition to his work as a recording artist/songwriter/producer, Alex is an award-winning filmmaker. Alex began his filmmaking career with his debut full-length film, You’ll Never be Alone, whose world premiere took place at the Berlin International Film Festival, in the Panorama section. The film was awarded the prestigious Teddy Award (Special Jury Award). The film went to over 50 festivals in various countries and won several other awards (Seattle International Film Festival /Grand Jury Prize for Ibero-American Cinema; Rome Independent Film Festival / Best International Feature Film; Festival International du Film de Saint-Jean-de-Luz / Best Director Prize, et al.) Alex also directs his own music videos as well as videos for other musicians.
