Electronic duo TOMORA, the collaboration between AURORA and Tom Rowlands of The Chemical Brothers, have released their debut album COME CLOSER, out now via Capitol Records.
The 12-track project marks the culmination of a long-anticipated collaboration, blending techno, trip-hop, and experimental pop into a cohesive and immersive sound. Featuring standout tracks including “RING THE ALARM,” “SOMEWHERE ELSE,” and the newly released “I DRINK THE LIGHT,” the album showcases the duo’s ability to balance intensity with atmosphere. “This is the music that we’ve been waiting to make…the hardness with the soft, the ugly with the beautiful,” TOMORA shared. “It’s about connection. It is our own world — one that only exists when we meet and create together.”
COME CLOSER arrives to widespread critical acclaim, with DJ Mag calling it “top notch electronic pop…exceptional,” while Disco Pogo described it as “kaleidoscopic and kinetic…a delightful take on whimsical techno.” The Guardian further praised the album’s “head-spinning mix of techno, trip-hop,” highlighting the seamless fusion of Rowlands’ production and AURORA’s distinctive vocal style.
The release follows TOMORA’s recent live debut in the U.S. and performances at Coachella, establishing the project as one of the most exciting new forces in electronic music. With COME CLOSER, TOMORA deliver a bold and expansive debut that captures two boundary-pushing artists creating something entirely new together.
