Venezuelan born Juan Cristóbal Losada is a Grammy and Latin Grammy Award winning engineer, producer and Songwriter. Losada has worked with an impressive roster of world-renowned artists, including Carlos Santana, Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, Plácido Domingo, José Feliciano, Shakira, José José and Chayanne, among many others.
In addition to that, Losada has successfully become one of the most sought after songwriters in the Miami area. Having written songs and collaborated with writers and artists such as Descemer Bueno, Maffio, Guaco, Erika Ender, Edwin Bonilla, Shaila Dúrcal, Walter Affanasief, Jorge Luis Chacin and Los Amigos Invisibles just to mention a few.
Since 2009 Peermusic hosts Losada's state of the art recording Studio Sonic Projects in their Miami building, creating a joint venture that would change the way in which Producers, writers and engineers interact in this ever evolving Music Industry.
In 2017 J.C. was nominated for 4 Latin Grammy's as producer, engineer and composer. The 2017 Grammy nominations resulted in a “Latin Grammy” Win for J.C. for his work as Mixing Engineer on the Jon Secada album “To Beny With Love”. The other 2017 nominations include his work with Ednita Nazario (co-writer & co-producer), Yordano w/Los Amigos Invisibles (producer & engineer) and Charlie Sepulveda (recording & mixing engineer).
2018 started with a “bang”, which included a “Grammy” nomination for J.C. for his work with “Los Amigos Invisible” as Producer & Engineer. “Grammy” nominated productions are a commonality for J.C., as he has credits in over 25 Grammy / Latin Grammy nominated albums as producer, engineer and/or songwriter. 2018 also furthered the partnership between J.C. and Peermusic, as they expanded their recording studio partnership to New York City with the newly opened “Sonic Room” at Peermusic in the heart of Manhattan-NYC.
J.C. currently lives in New York City; and while still remaining very active in the recording studio, J.C. has also taken on the role as Adjunct Professor at the New York University (NYU).
