
January, 29th - Miami, FL Music rights organization SESAC & music publisher peermusic held the "SESAC / peermusic Song Camp" on January 26 and 27th where some of the best pop music composers & producers in the business came together for a dynamic collaborative writing session for pop singer Jencarlos Canela's next album. The camp took place at peermusic's Miami office.

Amongst the participating composers and producers in the "SESAC/ peermusic Song Camp" were “Alcover”, Milton Jhoan Restituyo from the duo A&X who've masterminded Don Omar’s top number one singles such as “Danza Kuduro” and “Taboo” (soundtrack for “Fast In The Furious Five” and multi-award winning track the Latin music industry). They have colloborated with Farruko, Magic Juan, Selena Quintanilla, J Balvin amongst many others. Bryan-Michael Cox, a multiple GRAMMY® Award winning songwriter and record producer, notable for his extensive work with multiple platinum-selling artists including Usher, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige and Toni Braxton. During his career, Cox has been responsible for over 100 million record sales, 35 number one hits, and 12 Grammy Award nominations. GRAMMY® award winning songwriter, producer and engineer Juan Cristobal Losada has worked with an impressive roster of world-renowned artists, including Carlos Santana, Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, Plácido Domingo, José Feliciano, Shakira, José José and Chayanne, among many others. Singer Songwriter Manuel "Papayo" Corao, is a Miami based singer songwriter and professional musician. In 2013 he was nominated for Song of the Summer in Premios Juventud with “Si te Agarro” featuring Fito Blanko and DJ Chino. Since 2007 he has been part of Pitbull's band and won his first GRAMMY® collaborating with Mr. 305 in “Echa pa’lla Manos pa’rriba” earning Best Urban Performance at the 14th Annual Latin GRAMMY® Awards. Rico Love is a singer-songwriter, record producer and rapper. He wrote and produced records for Usher, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Rowland, Nelly among many others. He has also appeared as a featured artist on records with T.I, Usher, Jermaine Dupri, Jamie Foxx and captured the top honors at the 2013 SESAC Pop Awards taking home Songwriter of The Year. Rico Love crossed over into Latin Music by co-writing the Latin Mega hits “Promise” and “Odio performed by international recording star Romeo Santos. The Audibles are a production duo composed of Jimmy Giannos and Dominic Jordan. The Audibles got their first major production with Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd, which led to placements with Lupe Fiasco, Yelawolf and Kid Rock, as well as four songs co-written with Poo Bear on Justin Bieber’s album. The Audibles are currently working on future projects with Trey Songz, Bruno Mars, Chris Brown and the the next Beiber project. Maffio is a record producer, multi-instrumentalist, and recording artist, and the creator of the merengue electronico subgenre in Latin pop. He has production credits for tracks by Olga Tañón, Elvis Crespo, and Pitbull, and has been featured on singles with Henry Santos of Aventura and David Guetta.
Jencarlos Canela signed to Republic Records, a division of Universal Music Group began his musical career as the lead singer of the group Boom Boom Pop at 12 years old. His first two albums were produced by Rudy Pérez. His first album "Búscame" debuted at No. 2 in 2009, and in 2011 his second album, "Un Nuevo Día" came in at No. 1 during the first week it was released. In 2012, Canela, in collaboration with Emilio Estefan, recorded the song "Sueña" for Telemundo’s coverage of the 2012 Summer Olympics and soon after singed with Universal Music Latin Entertainment. Jencarlos won Artist of the Year in the 2013 awards show Pre- mios Juventud, and his song “I Love It” won the "Song of the summer" award. In the 2014 Premio Lo Nuestro awards show, Jencarlos’ “I Love It” video was nominated for Video of the Year.
