Shndō

Shndō. The name may be unfamiliar, but you’ve almost definitely heard the music. With his career still in its infancy, the fast-rising LA/Miami-based producer has already scored a #1 single, co-producing Justin Bieber’s record-breaking smash ‘Peaches’ alongside Bernard Harvey that just passed a billion streams on Spotify, and is now nominated for six Grammy Awards in the 2022 edition.

Far from a one-trick pony, it was the latest A-list collaboration for an artist who has produced tracks for Cardi B, Chris Brown and Lupe Fiasco, and worked closely with Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Poo Bear and platinum-selling producer Nitti Gritti - all in the space of a few short years.

Shndō’s musical journey can be traced back to his native Dominican Republic. A keen rapper and songwriter during his teenage years, he turned to FL Studio as a source for making beats. Quickly identifying a flair for production, he entered and won a remix competition, which led to his first placement with Lecrae and subsequent work with electronic duo Galantis. It wasn’t long before he was making a name for himself in the industry. Slowly but surely, little by little, he built a stellar resume, ultimately leading to where he is today.

Looking ahead, it’s fair to say that Shndō has no plans to take his foot off the gas anytime soon. He is currently working on a slew of original music - much of it involving even more A-list talent - but his main goal is to inspire a younger generation of producers and creative minds to get out there and reach their potential.
