Peermusic, one of the oldest and largest independent music publishers and the owner or administrator of more than 1 million copyrights, continued to grow in 2024. Billboard estimates the company’s annual revenue is approximately $200 million, and though Peer declines to comment on that number, she says peermusic realized a 16% increase in publishing income in 2024. Deals include the acquisition of Arctic Rights Management — which Peer says is the largest indie publisher in Norway and adds 5,000-plus compositions to the company’s catalog, as well as a 32nd country to its network — and joint ventures with Max Music Publishing and Marshall Records Publishing. Songwriter signings include Nothing but Thieves, Camilla Dunhill, David Lee Murphy, Aquihayaquihay, Un León Marinero, Foudeqush and Jaze. Peermusic also signed Teddy Swims and H.E.R. to its neighboring rights operation, which launched in 2020.
